The Kiwanis After Prom Party takes place in the spring for Minot High School juniors and seniors attending the event. The teens are enjoying a great night at the prom, but don’t want to stop celebrating. So, the Kiwanis Club of Minot has been helping them to continue for nearly 30 years. The club holds the After Prom Party at the Moose Lodge, as members there are gracious enough to let us use their facility, and wrap up their activities early. Kiwanis members run games, provide dancing with a deejay and have plenty of food. The night begins right after prom and ends at 4 a.m. with $5,000 in prizes given away. The whole purpose is to give kids a choice to stay safe after prom and continue to celebrate this exciting time in their lives.
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Many non-profit and service organizations have extra needs during the holiday season, and Minot Kiwanians are generous with their time. Walking around Dakota Square Mall in December you will likely see that famous red kettle, and the smiles standing beside it might be Kiwanis members. Dollars go to basic needs, housing, youth services, disaster relief and more. Kiwanis is proud to be a regular partner.
